About Us

Cordoba Academy is a non-profit educational organization in the state of Washington that fosters and promotes a sense of community for children to not only learn about their religion, but also develop a genuine Muslim-American identity.

Cordoba Academy was established in 2015 and is a registered  a 501c3. We opened our doors in September of 2017 for elementary classes, operating out of a local masjid with limited space. In 2018, we were able to secure a building to call our own, a small house which we converted into a school. As with all other great things, our beginnings are humble. But as our community grows, so must we.

Over the past 4 years, in addition to the school, we have been hosting a variety of programs to benefit the youth in the community. We have held annual summer camps, on-going story times on the noble prophets, professional preparation workshop, culinary and art events.

In 2019, for the first time, we also offered a 3-week summer school program for elementary school students to maintain their academic momentum and grow spiritually while on break from school. Courses included Quranic Studies, Islamic Studies, and English Literacy.

Our goal is to ensure our children are receiving the best possible education and Islamic tarbiyat in a proper school setting. Our dream is to eventually transition to a facility that accommodates the embodiment of these values in our students. This beautiful fantastic 7,058 square feet building consists of 5 large classrooms, 5+ private offices, a large kitchen, 3 bathrooms, a large conference room, private reception room, multiple storage rooms, a playground, and a full parking lot.

As a non-profit organization, we rely on your generosity to make our dream a reality, and thus,

we kindly request your generous donations and duas to help us get there.

JazakAllah for all your support and may Allah reward you in this life and the next!

Academic Program

CA utilizes the WA State certified WAVA and CVA resources, respectively, and customizes it for primary education.  Our Islamic Studies program is overseen and taught by a Spiritual Board, consisting of traditional Islamic Scholars who incorporate the globally established and certified Safar Academy curriculum. Both programs are supplemented with extra-curricular activities such as summer camp, story times, workshops and parent engagement (to name a few), which are open to the entire community.
