Our Team (18).png

My name is Sulaiman AL akbari, I was born and raised in Yemen. When I was a kid in my 3rd grade, my grandfather brought me to the Masjid for the first time to learn Quran and Islamic studies, and alhamdulillah I became Hafiz when I was in my 7th grade. Then when I was 17 years old I started to teach kids Quran and Tajweed. After I completed high school, I was pleased that I got my first scholarship to complete my undergrad in Saudi Arabia, so I traveled in 2011, and alhamdulillah I got selected to study in Makkah, the best place in the world. I met many scholars there and I have been visiting Makkah regularly to attend Islamic studies alongside my major study.

Then I got my Bachelor of Computer Engineering from Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah in 2018. After that, at the beginning of 2019, I came to the U.S. pursuing a higher education, and I got a Master of Science in Technology Innovation (Robotics Track) from the University of Washington in 2021. During my graduate school at the University of Washington Computer Science department, I was responsible for technical issues related to coding, dealing with the Kinova arm for grasping objects using OpenCV, also writing nodes with Python for Fetch robot navigation, designing the website, taking care of business analysis using SWOT analysis, and doing some evaluation with users for useability testing.
